And there is the theory that the girls were once part of a god too is partly correct too. I love how we were both right and wrong about that theory. Zarc and Ray have powers comparable to gods but they aren’t really gods.

That is another aspect of this twist I really appreciate. The theory of the Dragon Boys and Bracelet Girls being fragments of gods was a popular theory since the first season. Everyone was expecting that to happen, but they chose to make Zarc and Ray people who gain powers comparable to gods’ instead.
